Look, Mom, no chair!
At seven months, here's what Miss Shannon is up to...
--Her hair has gotten long enough for us to do this! (Think she'll forgive us for this style when she's older?) And its getting curly. When she gets out of the bathtub she's got a whole head of curls.
--All sort of new foods this month... bananas, apples, sweet potatoes, peas, oatmeal, rice cereal. Think we're going to try avocados in a foodbag next.
--At meal time, she gets her own spoon and control over a bottle of water (I'll have to post later about the cool handles and spouts that allow you to change from a bottle to sippy cup gradually.) In other news, our kitchen floor is getting more things thrown on it, namely spoons and bottles of water.
--She is a master sitter. She can play, look around, reach for things, catch herself... She's just starting to eye the toys out of reach and you can see her beginning to think about lunging for them.
--No crawling yet but we have added "babyproof the house" to our to-do list. On her belly, she can hold her chest up, airplane with her arms and legs, and spin herself around so she can face all directions. On her back, she's gotten good at arching up onto her shoulders and pushing with her feet.
--She's quite the dancer. Here she is pictured on one of her two favorite stages (the other one is her changing table...with the spotlight!). She loves bouncing along to the Juno soundtrack, regrets her once-favorite jam "Low" being way overplayed now, and also is partial to the little tune her Elmo puppet sings.
--We love this cutie pie!
