Dozens of Cousins

Well, not quite.

But Shannon is McGee Grandchild #10 and she got to see most of her cousins this weekend as we celebrated late summer and fall birthdays at our house.

Two Months Old

Our cutie pie is two months old today. Hard to believe how big she has gotten, but the proof is in the elephant photos!

A trip to the doctor today confirmed what you can see... Shannon is now 14 pounds, 9 ounces, 24 1/4 inches long and her head measures 16 3/8. She is "off the charts" in all three areas. Our precious little outlier. (C'mon, there enough of you math/stats dorks out there... I expect a pity laugh for that one!)


Sorry for the lack of posts recently. We've been having gorgeous weather and have been spending free time outside.


This past weekend, Shannon enjoyed a visit from Uncle Mike and Almost-Aunt Hanna. (Can't believe we didn't snap a single pic, so here's one from their first visit...sorry guys!) They were her first official babysitters on Saturday night while Mom and Dad snuck out for dinner. Thanks guys for taking such good care of her!

She's really smiling now and starting to coo. I'm hoping to learn how to post video in the next few days, but until then enjoy this still life grin!

Big Weekend

Whew! Miss Shannon has been snoozing all day today because she was a busy girl this weekend!

We kicked the weeked off with a trip to Citizens Bank Park for Shannon's first Philies game. The Phils lost, but we had fun.

Saturday was a run-aroud day spent getting ready for Sunday's fun. And, sadly, watching the Irish lose to Penn State. A loss made even tougher by being ND fans at a predominantly Penn State party!

On Sunday, 3 out of the 4 Spain Girls came up from DC and down from New York for a surprise baby shower for "Auntie" Monica. Monica thought she was coming just to meet Shannon but had no idea Brette and Alexandra were going to be there too.

A preggo belly, a new baby, yummy food, cute baby presents... it was a fun afternoon!

Went Back to Ohio

Labor Day Weekend marked Shannon's first road trip. We packed the car full of baby gear and hit the road on Friday. Over the river(s) and through the woods of PA to Grammy's house in Cleveland we went.

Shannon got to meet lots of her relatives from Mom's side of the family.

And still had time to snuggle with Grammy and Grandpa...

...and rock out with Uncle Pat.
